Arriving November 2011
We are developing the tools used for the processing and analysis of GPS traces presented by Theano Moussouri at VSA 2011, and aim to release them as a web application in November 2011. In the first version of the site, we will allow the easy upload of tracking data and the calculation of main statistics such as dwell time at specific locations (allowing interactive free-form definition of areas of interest) and Point-of-interest analysis, and allow easy data management and exploration. This site is intended as a placeholder and currently hosts the presentation material for all interested.
Our intention is in the long term to develop the site in a comprehensive tool for visitor studies incorporating a variety of mobile devices for capture, more advanced analytics, automated landmark analysis and many other rich features.
We also aim to provide selected social-networking features to help develop an active community around these tools.
